As is often the case when working a website, you get those who cannot contain their animosity and desire to pull your material to pieces. And as usual these attempts are made with little real content and a lot of foul language (to make up for their lack of integrity). We do not respond to such openly hostile e-mails direct - as this usually leads to non-stop harassment launched against us, such as we have experienced before. But rest assured we do address them and in some cases we even post them to the site if relevant. Here we have feedback from an individual regarding our article on 'Freemasonic Symbolism', pointing out their own fundamental translation as 'the answer'. The very point of esoteric symbolism is that the meaning varies from source to source. It is arrogant for any person to say: "You are wrong to say that 'such-and-such' means 'this'... it actually represents 'X,Y and Z'!". Our accounts which are within the 'Symbolism Archive', do give away a number of translations as to 'what a symbol represents to the elite', but always with the understanding that there are other translations used by other (often lower level and compartmentalised) groups, cults, religions, crafts and so on. The sender of the following e-mail seems to have ignored this concept and has gone for the more popular "My answer is the answer... no other interpretation allowed!'. Again with foulness, assumptions and arrogance. The following has been posted as received, except for the odd 'cuss' word: -
There are a number of fundamental flaws in the above statement. Mostly stemming from that attitude we mentioned before of: "'this' means 'that' and nothing else!". If a person feels a need to think so 'one-dimensionally', that is their business, however when researching meanings behind esoteric symbols we always need to remember that there are levels... and then there are 'levels'.
