On Saturday 23rd September 2006, a 'Stop the War' demonstration was held in Manchester.  A team of 9/11 truth activists joined in the activity to raise awareness of the FACTS (and lack thereof) concerning the event which it is claimed is sending our country men to die and kill.

Supporters of the 9/11 Truth Movement (UK & Ireland) in attendance included David Shayler, Annie Machon, David Boyle and a dozen of the guys from the West Yorkshire Truth Campaign.

Prior to our arrival, we were stopped by the police during a check point (leading to a multi-storey car park that we were pulling in to).  We were exposed to a small dose of radiation when driving over a car x-ray device.  The car was searched, a sniffer dog was sent in (luckily it didn't wee on the seat!) and the thought crime police held us up for about ten minutes as they took particular interest to our 9/11 truth material which was in the boot.

Everything was pretty much in order we were told, but that didn't stop them from writing our names, addresses and birth dates down on a piece of paper (Satan only knows what kind of terrorist/trouble maker database we are on now!).

Continuing to the event; as usual, most of the feedback from the public was overwhelmingly in support (bearing in mind that we were not 'in our element' - as many of the STW demonstrators were politically motivated).  Any negative - and in some cases, rude - feedback tended to come from the protestors who were promoting Soviet style Communism (no offence to those who do that sort of thing).

All in all it was great day out and I would like to thank the team for helping spread the word - together we did a great job.
