• Porn Star to Attend President's Dinner - WASHINGTON - The annual President's Dinner, a Republican Party fundraising event featuring President Bush, could get an extra dash of spice this year with porn actress and former California gubernatorial candidate Mary Carey planning to attend.

• Big Brother baby plan scrutinised - Dutch authorities are investigating plans for a contestant to give birth on the reality TV show Big Brother. Newly-launched TV station Talpa will broadcast the series from Sunday. The pregnant contestant is due to give birth in six weeks.

• Madonna, Britney And Christina Kiss Off The VMA's - The 2003 MTV Video Music Awards got off to a surprising start when Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera opened the show with a tribute to Madonna. In honor of MTV's 20th annual event, the two pop princesses sang "Like A Virgin" in white wedding dresses similar to what Madonna wore on the inaugural show in 1984. They danced and gyrated and rolled on the floor, just like Madonna did--and then they were joined by Madonna herself. The three sang Madonna's current hit, "Hollywood," and then startled the audience when Madonna open-mouth kissed both Aguilera and Spears 

• US 'obsessed' by celeb culture - Americans are more "obsessed" than ever by celebrity culture, the editor of magazine Vanity Fair has told the BBC.

• New Hollywood Film 'Kinsey' Promotes Child Molester Who Launched 'Sexual Revolution' - Concerned Women of America (CWA) has sounded the alarm on a new Hollywood film to debut in November: Kinsey. According to Concerned Women of America:"For more than 55 years, pioneer sex researcher Alfred C. Kinsey's work has had a profound effect on American culture. Once a household name, Kinsey is not known to most people under 40. Yet his studies in the late 1940s and early 1950s, heralded as the first "scientific" look at sex, became the foundation of the sexual revolution that has rocked not only America but the world.

• Rude voters 'are copying Paxman' - Voters are becoming more rude to politicians - and the BBC's Jeremy Paxman is to blame, a senior Tory says. Caroline Spelman said she was "shocked" by the hostility she encountered from the public during the general election. "The practice of not allowing people to finish their sentences has really caught on," she told a fringe meeting at the Tory conference in Blackpool.

• Glenn Beck called hurricane survivors in New Orleans "scumbags," said he "hates" 9-11 families - Nationally syndicated Clear Channel radio host Glenn Beck referred to survivors of Hurricane Katrina who remained in New Orleans as "scumbags." Also, after acknowledging that nobody "in their right mind is going to say this out loud," Beck attacked victims of the disaster in general and the families of victims of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, saying: "I didn't think I could hate victims faster than the 9-11 victims."

• The beauty products from the skin of executed Chinese prisoners: Cosmetics firm targets UK market - Lack of regulation puts users at risk. A Chinese cosmetics company is using skin harvested from the corpses of executed convicts to develop beauty products for sale in Europe, an investigation by the Guardian has discovered. Agents for the firm have told would-be customers it is developing collagen for lip and wrinkle treatments from skin taken from prisoners after they have been shot. The agents say some of the company's products have been exported to the UK, and that the use of skin from condemned convicts is "traditional" and nothing to "make such a big fuss about".
